CR2SM wins a Highly Commended

Topo wishes to congratulate the Bruce Highway Upgrade - Caloundra Road to Sunshine Motorway (CR2SM) team on a Highly Commended result at the 2019 Environmental Excellence Awards hosted by the International Erosion Control Association in Cairns last week. Topo have been involved in the project since 2017 and are very happy to see the project’s efforts in water quality management recognised at such a high level. CR2SM has demonstrated:

• a high level of erosion control throughout the duration of the project, with staged clear and grub, and a focus on progressive landscaping

• significant effort afforded in separating inflow from site runoff, particularly in constrained areas.

• integrating sediment control and drainage with multiple stages of earthworks and a constantly evolving traffic management plan

• a proactive and thorough approach to identifying and managing corrective actions
