Inland Rail: Parkes to Narromine

The Inland Rail Project continues to progress. Comprising of 13 individual projects and spanning more than 1,700 km, the Inland Rail is the largest freight rail infrastructure project in Australia and one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the world. TOPO are proud to contribute in one small area of this huge project. With clearing, stripping and earthworks now largely complete on the Parkes to Narromine section, and the trackwork underway, the challenges with regards to soil and water management shifts to maintaining compliance while revegetation is underway, and achieving an outcome that is consistent with the surrounding, arid landscape without compromising on ground cover requirements. Works on the Parkes to Narromine section are expected to be completed in mid-2020.
