Meet Jack - our work experience student

We had the pleasure of having Jack Robbins in our office for a week to complete his Year 10 work experience. Jack is a local student at Sienna Catholic College and is tossing up between architecture and civil engineering as future careers.

During the week he was introduced to QGIS, Autocad and Bluebeam REVU and only a few days in he was able to work independently in Autocad, completing a standard drawing and reference title blocks which we will continue to use in our office. We were also able to have him attend a site audit at a major site on the Gold Coast, which was quite the eye-opener for him.

Jack progressed through his tasks significantly quicker than was anticipated and has set the bar high for the next work experience student. We reckon he will do well in whichever career path he pursues.
